This 75-minute facial gives precision dermaplaning the preparation and finishing care it deserves. Basia begins with an unhurried skin analysis and thorough cleansing, then includes extractions where appropriate, a restorative massage, and a hydrating mask with LED light therapy.
Using a fresh, sterile blade held at a shallow angle, Basia lifts away dull surface skin and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Every step uses fragrance-free products in her calm, private suite, and the result is a complexion that looks brighter and feels exceptionally smooth. And no, the hair doesn't grow back thicker.

Basia takes time to assess your skin and current routine, then performs a thorough double cleanse with fragrance-free products.

Warm prep & extractions
Gentle warm towels prepare the skin, followed by careful extractions only where they are needed and appropriate.

Dry prep & dermaplaning
Skin is cleansed again and dried completely, then Basia works in light, controlled strokes with a fresh, sterile blade, avoiding any active breakouts.

Face, neck & décolleté massage
A slow, light massage with fragrance-free products brings a soothing, cared-for finish to the exfoliation.

Hydrating mask & LED
A calming, hydrating mask is paired with included LED light therapy, with a relaxing shoulder massage while it works.

Hydrate, protect & plan
Hydrating serums, moisturizer and mineral SPF are applied, followed by simple guidance for caring for your newly smoothed skin at home.
Aftercare
Mild temporary pinkness can occur. For three days, skip retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, saunas and prolonged sun exposure; use gentle fragrance-free hydration and broad-spectrum SPF daily. Dermaplaning is not performed over active breakouts.
Questions
Will my facial hair grow back thicker?
No. Dermaplaning does not change the hair follicle, so fine vellus hair grows back at its normal rate and does not become darker or coarser.
Is microdermabrasion included too?
Not in this facial. Dermaplaning provides the exfoliation, and the studio never combines it with microdermabrasion in the same visit. The rest of the session focuses on hydration and calming care.
Can I dermaplane if I have breakouts?
Not over active breakouts. Basia may work around a small area when appropriate or recommend the Clarifying Facial until the skin is calm.
What fills the full 75 minutes?
The time allows for skin analysis, double cleansing, warm preparation, extractions when appropriate, precise dermaplaning, an extended massage, a hydrating mask with LED, and a thoughtful at-home plan. Nothing is rushed.
